Howard “Howie” Martin Brewi (1971-2025)
Howard “Howie” Martin Brewi, age 54, passed away unexpectedly on September 20, 2025 at a hospital in Anchorage, Alaska. He was born in Johnson City, New York on March 11, 1971. Howie was the eldest beloved child of Howard and Susan Brewi.
Since graduating high school in 1989 from Jefferson Central School in Jefferson, New York, he resided in Delta Junction, Valdez, Anchorage, and Seward, Alaska and most recently lived in Kenny Lake, Alaska. He received AA degrees through the University of Alaska. His knowledge, interests, and experiences in life were broad and ever-changing. Even after college, his thirst for knowledge and his desire to share it never wavered. Howie worked in many fields over the years. The ones he enjoyed the most were the ones where he could share his knowledge and learn from others.
Howard is survived by his parents Howard and Susan Brewi; brothers and sisters, Matthew Brewi, Hazel Brewi, Asa Brewi, and Stephen Brewi; Aunt Donna Bryant (Brown) and Uncle David Brewi; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and many friends that became family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him well.
He will be cremated and his ashes spread on a family plot in Kenny Lake, Alaska in a private ceremony. A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Kenny Lake for family and friends that wish to say a final goodbye.
