CRNA staff drove a van stuffed to the gills with sanitary products, home goods, baby products, hand warmers, bedding, and other requested items to Anchorage to help Western Alaska storm victims. The goods filled three pallets at the warehouse donated by the Chugach Electric Association for sorting.
CRNA Tribal Community Services Department Supervisor Colleen Merrick, who helped coordinate the donations, cited Page Pete and Batty Lafromboise for receiving donations at reception, CRNA Operations staff for helping with logistics, and CRNA CEO Angela Vermillion for leadership in making the drive for goods a priority. Numerous community members and other CRNA staff pitched in or donated.
“People really care about this community,” said Merrick, and helping when they are in need “shows Ahtna values of caring and sharing.”
